Groupe Innova
Our history
It all started in 1988 for Groupe Innova. Entrepreneur Rosemary Boucher founds Boutiques Chic chez vous , which started out as a mobile store of adapted clothing for the elderly.
Then, in 1999, a decisive step took place. Actors from various backgrounds set up a social enterprise in mental health ( ESSM ) in order to meet the socio-professional integration needs of people with a mental health problem .
The following year, at the initiative of ESSM , Collection Innova , a manufacturer of adapted clothing, set up in east Montreal. This is when the ESSM / Collection Innova tandem was born.
In 2007, the ESSM / Collection Innova tandem crossed a turning point in its history by acquiring Boutiques Chic chez vous . Groupe Innova is then created.
Groupe Innova has always innovated and adapted to its market, so that in 2021, the company is expanding. It acquires the Boutique 3 e age in Saint-Lambert https://www.vetementsadaptes.ca/ .
Our mission
Groupe Innova is a social economy enterprise comprising three economic missions:
1- create and make clothes suitable for people with loss of autonomy;
2- marketing of a line of adapted clothing in Canada;
3- sell regular and adapted clothes for seniors with a loss of autonomy.
In addition, the company also has a social mission, which is the socio-professional integration of people with a mental health problem https://blogchicchezvous.com/2021/03/02/
To this end, at Groupe Innova , the profits from sales are used to enhance the social mission.
Our clothes
Each year, the team produces two new collections inspired by current trends.
Thus, Groupe Innova's clothing line is recognized for its quality, elegant style, refined fabrics and neat cuts. The know-how of the production team feeds original creations that benefit the elderly.
On the other hand, the clothes facilitate the care and the work of the nursing staff who work with people with loss of autonomy: large side or back openings, functional buttonholes on the front of certain clothes, zippers on the back and metal snaps.
They also provide unbeatable comfort for people with a loss of autonomy: loose cuts, elastic at the waist of the pants and skirts and double back panels.
The team creates products that meet high manufacturing standards.
The company believes in the longevity of its clothing. It is in this context that she wants to offer clothing of sustainable quality at a competitive price.
Local production
Finally, all the clothes are created and manufactured in the Montreal workshop. This makes it possible to follow each stage of production and thus to pay particular attention to the quality of the clothing. Moreover, by producing locally, Groupe Innova contributes to reducing its ecological footprint.
